Hello. My name is Dr. JaQuinda Jackson. Pleased to meet you!
I grew up in the Simpsonville, South Carolina, area and graduated from Hillcrest High School. I attended College of Charleston where I majored in Sociology with a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies.
After graduation, I relocated to Washington, D.C. where I gained my Masters in Community Counseling and my Doctorate in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University. While in D.C., I fell in love with helping individuals and families carry out their purpose in life.
It is my strong belief that we are all here for a purpose and I want to help you and others realize and begin to live within that purpose. I also believe that although we are individuals, collective work with others are apart of our healing journey.
My experience includes working in both the non-profit sector and social services sector specializing in the mental health and wellness. And in addition to being a National Certified Counselor (NCC), I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina. The majority of my therapeutic background is in trauma-focused care, social emotional programming, as well group therapy. Along with begin a therapist, I assist schools and other organizations build out mental health programs to ensure access for all. I also assist individuals and groups in community advocacy. I believe that in order for our communities to be successful, we must be willing to do the work collectively.
Along with enjoying helping others, I am a mother to two active boys and a wife to an amazing husband! I also am an executive director of a non-profit called, KindCollab, which teaches social emotional learning to children and adolescents.
In my free time, I enjoy learning, working out and spending quality time with my family. I very much look forward to our journey together.
